Tennis Director Gary Fishkind and his incredible staff are excited once again to be offering the very successful Junior Tennis Academy.  The program is designed to make the participants’ experience as enjoyable and educational as possible.

The goal of the Junior Tennis Academy is to provide tournament level players with a program geared to help them advance to the next level.  The Academy helps strengthen and improve the students’ skills through conditioning, match play and competitive coaching.  All stroke mechanics will be reinforced.  Drills are designed around stroke execution along with a strong emphasis on improving the serve.  Live ball play is utilized as a training component to teach students how to improve shot selection and to properly orchestrate game points.

David Szeri

David Szeri, Assistant Tennis Pro

My name is David Szeri and I am from Hungary. I was currently working as a tennis professional in Kansas City this past winter. I played college tennis at Southwest Baptist University. I spent last summer at Bailiwick where I could grow my passion for tennis as well as meet wonderful people.  I have been extremely fortunate to be employed at one of the largest tennis clubs in the Midwest where I have been exclusively coaching a No.1 junior player, supervising the Junior Program, running High Performance clinics, as well as getting more involved with USTA leagues from 3.0 - 5.0. I organized adult clinics where I gained more experience and broadened my knowledge. I have been assisting with extraordinary events as well and would like to bring some of my new experiences to the club to make for the best tennis season possible.

My achievements throughout the years:

- Runner-Up of the 2017 & 2018 Hungarian Nationals Championships

- Ranked No. 3 U18 in Hungary and No. 18 in the Men's ranking.

- Three times Conference Championships with my university

- Two times All Conference First team in Singles and Double

- NCAA Division II Nationals Championships Sweet 16 (2018, 2021); Elite 8 (2019)

- NCAA National Sportsmanship and Leadership Award (2021)

I am overly excited to return to Bailiwick for my second year and look forward to a fantastic season.
