
The Bailiwick Club offers 6 HarTru tennis courts, available for play from mid April to the end of October. These courts host a variety of programs designed for all levels of play, welcoming adults, juniors, and young children. The club provides private and group lessons, a Junior Tennis Academy, clinics, and Cardio Tennis sessions. Members can also participate in men’s and women’s inter-club teams competing in the Fairfield County, CT Tennis League. Additional opportunities include ladder play, mixed member tournaments, member-guest tournaments, member-member tournaments, and the prestigious Club Championship Singles Tournament.

Little Aces (Red Ball) Ages 4-5
Monday-Friday 3-3:30pm
Red Ball is an introduction to tennis that utilizes a smaller court and shorter racquets to enable earlier rally play. Focus is on hand-eye coordination, racquet skills, basic movement, strokes, and most importantly FUN.

Rising Stars (Orange Ball) Ages 6-7
Monday-Friday 3:30-4:30pm
This junior class continues to introduce tennis related techniques, movement, and the concept of rallying, as well as games designed to help players learn the concepts of tennis in a fun and enjoyable style.

Next Gen (Green Ball) Ages 8-10
Monday-Friday 4:30-5:30pm
This program concentrates on stroke production, rallying, and learning the core fundamentals of tennis, as well as teaching players how to score and incorporate key strategies.​

Premier (Yellow Ball) Ages 11+
Monday-Friday 5:30-6:30pm
Summer Sessions: Monday-Thursday 5-6pm
The Yellow Ball program is designed for mature juniors who are looking to improve their overall skills through stroke development, rallying and point play.​​

Tennis 101 (Beginner)

This clinic is designed for beginners and those returning to the game after an extended break. Each week,
players will learn the fundamentals, including groundstrokes, volleys, overheads, serves, returns, and basic
rules of play. Whether you’re brand new to tennis or looking to refresh your skills, this clinic will provide a
strong foundation to help you get started on your tennis journey.​
4-week session pricing: $120 | Daily Pricing: $30/class | Non-Members will be charged an additional $10 per session

Tennis 201 (Intermediate)

For advanced beginners returning to tennis, Tennis 201 is where you'll begin to refine your strokes and generate more power, spin and touch.

Cardio Tennis

Cardio Tennis offers a high-energy workout for players of all skill levels. These clinics feature fast-paced
feeding drills and point play, making it a fun and engaging way to improve your game while staying active.

Sunday 10:30-11:30am
Aggressive play takes center stage in this high-energy clinic, where the goal is to win and win big!
Players will be paired with a partner to compete in live-ball point play against other teams—with a twist.
Groundstroke winners earn 5 points, volley winners 10 points, and overhead winners 20 points.

Luke Purser, Director of Racquets
A highly qualified professional with extensive experience in tennis, paddle and pickleball, Luke brings a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to the club. As a junior tennis player, he achieved a ranking of No. 9 in Great Britain and No. 414 in the world.
Luke comes to The Bailiwick Club from Silver Spring Country Club, where he served as the Director of Paddle and Head Professional of Racquets. His other previous club experiences include Century Country Club in Harrison, NY, and Quaker Ridge Golf Club in Scarsdale, NY.
